
Jordan Marada SMC Player of the Week

In SMC's only game of the week, Jordan Marada tallied six points in a 4-3 double overtime win at Gonzaga on Sunday. Marada played a roll in all four Saint Mary's goals, scoring twice and dishing out an assist on the first two goals for the Gaels.
With SMC trailing 2-0 at halftime, Marada assisted Briana Campos' goal just 20 second into the second half. Twelve minutes later, Marada's cross to Daeyln Paul resulted in a header goal to tie the game at 2-2 in the 58th minutes. Marada then scored the go ahead goal in the 63rd minute, which was her team-leading fifth of the season.
After Gonzaga tied the game, Marada scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime, giving the Gaels their second WCC win of the season and snapping a four-game conference losing streak. Additionally, the win for Saint Mary's snapped a four-game losing streak to the Bulldogs, while ending a three-game skid in Spokane.
Saint Mary's will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 6 with the final game of the 2010 season, wieht the Gaels host the No. 2 ranked Portland Pilots. Kick-off for the season finale is scheduled for 12 p.m. from Saint Mary's Stadium.
