Abbie Coleman Named To MPSF All-Tournament Team

Moraga, CA - Saint Mary's women's lacrosse senior attacker, Abbie Coleman, was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Tournament Team as announced today. The native of Mendham, NJ tallied three points, off one goal and two assists in the loss to California in the opening round of the MPSF Tournament, on Thursday, April 29.
For Coleman, this marks her second all-conference accolade after being receiving Second Team All-MPSF honors. In the game against California she recorded one goal, two assists for three points, with three shots, two on goal while picking up one draw control and going 1-for-2 on free position shots.
Coleman finishes her career in the top-10 in almost every statistical category for the Gaels. She is first all-time in assists with 54, fifth in goals with 58 and points with 112. She also ranks third all-time in draw controls with 114 and fifth all-time with 122 ground balls. This year, she set a SMC single game record with seven draw controls against Long Island on February 21. For her career, she has recorded six hat-tricks, with two coming this season.
Coleman's selection to the all-tournament team marks the first SMC selection since Jackie Spencer was named to the MPSF All-Tournament team in 2007. The Gaels finished the season posting a 4-12 mark, going 1-6 in MPSF play.
