AS A SENIOR (2016): Started in 19 out of 20 games for the Gaels … recorded a goals against average of 1.41 … made 65 saves in net and posted three clean sheets including a 3-0 shutout at Portland … tied a season high with six saves against No. 5 BYU … won all five games in net for Saint Mary's including her final game as a Gael in a 2-1 win over Loyola Marymount.
AS A JUNIOR (2015): Went 7-9-4 for the season with seven shutouts, the fourth highest amount for a single-season in SMC history… Had a goals against average of 0.99 which was the best in nearly 15 years at SMC… played in 1906 minutes, which was every minute but 28 minutes during the season… recorded 92 saves and a 81.4 save percentage ... earned Bronze honors (g.p.a. of 3.00-3.49) on the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): Started the first 13 matches of the year before having a season ending injury… finished the year with 1172 minutes, a 1.69 goals against average and 43 saves with a 6-7 record… also recorded three shutouts during the year against Albany, Saint Joseph's and Idaho… had a single-match high of eight saves coming on the road at Nevada.PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: McDonald comes to Moraga with international experience and will have sophomore eligibility (in 2014) after spending last season with Ottawa ... The Braves went 13-7-2 last season as McDonald saw action and allowed two goals during the year ... The goalkeeper is a three-time provincial cup winner with her club team, Semiahmoo Thunder ... She has consistently been in Canada's international scene, being named MVP at U16 Coastal Cup Final ... She also was a BC provincial Team player (U15-U16) and a National Training Center pool player ... Additionally, she was selected to the Vancouver Whitecaps U18 Elite Program and a U17 Candian National Pool ... Most recently before her year at Ottawa, McDonald helped her squad earn Gold at the Canada Summer Games, being named to the Canada Summer Games All-Star Team in 2013.
