
Devon Bridges Bio

Devon Bridges completed her first year as an assistant coach to head coach Jessica Hanaseth-Rodgers in 2015. She will begin her second season as an assistant for the Gaels in 2016-17.
Coming back to the Bay Area after attending Boise State, Bridges brings a wealth of talent, experience and knowledge to the team, as she is the all-time leader in nearly all categories at her alma mater. She holds the school records in games played (224), games started (221), at-bats (636), hits (235), home runs (52), RBI (188), total bases (421), walks (116), slugging percentage (.662) and on-base percentage (.473).
Bridges is also a winner of several postseason awards. She was selected to the All-Mountain West Team in three of her four years as a Bronco, and was also named to the All-WAC Team as a freshman (2011). The former first baseman was also selected to the prestigious USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Preseason List in 2013. In her first season at Boise State, Bridges was named to the Louisville Slugger/ NFCA All-Pacific Region Second-Team after setting single-season school records for batting average (.393), RBI (53), walks (37), on-base percentage (.531) and slugging percentage (.785).
Due to a back injury, Bridges redshirted and came back for her senior season. She appeared in all 53 games and led the Bronco squad with a .359 batting average, nine home runs and 35 RBI. Bridges was named to the All-Mountain West Second-Team in her final season.
A three-year letter winner at San Ramon Valley High School, Bridges was also a team captain her senior year. She also lettered in volleyball and soccer during her years in high school.
A native of Danville, Calif., Bridges graduated from Boise State in 2015 with a degree in Social Science.
