WSOC | SMC Releases Summer Camp Dates

MORAGA, Calif. – With a new head coach in place, the Saint Mary's women's soccer team has announced dates for its popular 2015 youth summer camps.
The camps are directed by the Saint Mary's coaching staff including head coach Travis Clarke who has had six consecutive NSCAA and NCAA regional top-10 finishes, along with established assistant coaches Brook Johnson and Tina Estrada. Other additional staff will be determined as the camp dates get closer.
Entering his first season at the helm and sixth coach in program history, Clarke has posted a career record of 92-67-14, including having 17 all-conference players in six seasons at Cal State San Bernardino. Off the field, Clarke's teams won five straight NSCAA Team Acadmeic Awards and earned the school's top GPA award. During his time at CSUSB, his squads produced 29 academic all-conference award winners and nine Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District selections.
Clarke inherits a Gaels program on the rise as the 2014 team had 10 results, including facing four nationally ranked opponents and seven NCAA Tournament teams. The Gaels earned a PAC-12 road win at Oregon State and tied nationally ranked Pepperdine and BYU.
The 2014 Gaels had four student-athletes earn All-West Coast Conference honors and featured the College Sports Madness Freshman of the Year.
Below is a description of the various types of camps which appeal to a wide group of players who are looking to learn, have fun, elevate their game and work alongside the entire SMC women's soccer coaching staff.
Saint Mary's soccer camp curriculum is designed to help young people learn and develop skills quickly and effectively while having fun. The main objective is to teach players how to fully reach their potential as a soccer player, enjoy playing the sport and have an enjoyable social experience.
