MORAGA, Calif. - Saint Mary's goalkeeper Sonja Rajatalo has been chosen to represent Finland's U-20 National Team, it was announced today.
The first year goalkeeper will represent Finland for the fifth time in her young career, as she was on the U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 teams in the past.
Rajatalo played a key role for the Gaels in 2017, as the 5-9 keeper started in nine games and collected 21 saves. She played in over 731 minutes and had three wins on the year.
"We are really excited for Sonja," said Saint Mary's head coach Travis Clarke. "She is a very hard working and technical keeper, and I am positive she will do very well."
