LUBBOCK, Texas - Freshmen duo Hind Abdelouahid and Mariia Kozyreva delivered a highlight win over the nation's 15th-ranked doubles team, but Saint Mary's women's tennis (0-2) dropped a competitive 4-2 decision to Florida International Saturday morning at McLeod Tennis Center.

Abdelouahid and Kozyreva defeated No. 15 Maryna Veksler and Ulyana Grib in dominant fashion, cruising to the 6-3 win on court 1. The Gaels came out quick in doubles action, claiming the win on court 2 to seal the doubles point.

Clementine Clement went undefeated in the day's action, winning on court 4 in singles action.

The Gaels will continue the dual season at No.16 UCLA on Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. PT.
