MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's will travel to Southern California this week to take on Loyola Marymount on Thursday and Pepperdine on Saturday.

SCOUTING REPORT
The Gaels are coming off of a perfect week, as they defeated USF 3-1 and Pacific 3-2. Saint Mary's has been very effective in serving this season as they are currently ranked No. 10 in the nation in service aces per set (1.80).

Senior Lindsey Knudsen was named Muscle-Milk Student Athlete of the Week for her impressive performance in both matches. In nine sets last week, she averaged 15 kills and 14 digs while also collecting seven aces and four blocks in total. Knudsen is currently top-10 in the conference in service aces per set (2nd, 0.58), kills per set (8th, 3.25), and digs per set (9th, 3.00).

LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
LMU currently holds a 3-2 WCC record (13-3 overall) as they head into their match against the Gaels. The Lions are coming off of a 3-0 sweep against USF, marking their seventh sweep of the season. Stat leaders for the Lions include Savannah Slattery and Sara Kovac who lead the team in kills with 218 and 197 respectively.

In 2017, Saint Mary's and LMU went 1-1 in their two contests together.

PEPPERDINE
Pepperdine holds a 10-5 overall record with a 4-1 record in the WCC. The Waves will face Pacific on Thursday before their match against Saint Mary's on Saturday. Rachel Ahrens leads the Waves with a .325 hitting percentage and Blossom Sato is ranked 4th in the WCC in assists per set (10.84).

The Gaels are 1-3 in their last four contests against the Waves.
