Saint Mary's opens a three-game homestead this Friday with a rematch against the Pacific Tigers.

SCOUTING REPORT
The Gaels are coming off of a strong week of conference matches after a 3-1 win over San Francisco and a 3-0 sweep of Santa Clara. Saint Mary's is currently ranked 31st in the NCAA RPI poll and still remains the second place WCC team behind BYU. The Gaels are also ranked 19th in the nation for service aces per set (1.67) which is tied with Pepperdine and is just behind LMU who is ranked 14th.

Sarah Chase fueled a 2-0 week for Saint Mary's which included a career-night for the redshirt junior against USF. That night, she posted 15 kills, 18 digs (a career-high), six blocks (a season-high), two service aces, and hit .400 altogether. Against Santa Clara, she was strong once again in the Gaels' sweep of the Broncos, producing 13 kills (.323 hitting), seven digs, and four blocks. In total, Chase averaged a double-double (14 kills, 12.5 digs) while also amassing 10 digs in the two matches.

Other stat leaders for the Gaels include Lindsey Knudsen who holds the top spot for kills (239), digs (195), and is second in service aces (28). Alexsa "Crash" Parker is number one in aces per set (.46) for the Gaels, which has her ranked 20th in the nation and second in the conference behind BYU's Veronica Jones-Perry. Parker also owns the most total service aces in the conference (36), which is tied for 22nd in the nation.

PACIFIC
The Tigers have posted an 8-13 record and a 3-7 conference record so far this season. Pacific is coming off of a split week of matches after losing to Santa Clara 3-1 last Thursday and defeating USF 3-1 on Saturday. The Tigers' conference wins this year have come against Santa Clara, USF, and Gonzaga.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Lines is leading the Tigers with 318 kills and 30 service aces, while Senior Alex Holt holds the team-high in hitting percentage (.296) and blocks (63).

UP NEXT
Saint Mary's will remain at home for the upcoming two matches happening next week. The Gaels will take on Pepperdine next Thursday at 7 p.m. and LMU on Saturday at 1 p.m.
