Engebretsen Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Anders Engebretsen was named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week following his performance in the Gaels' NCAA Tournament game versus Oregon State.

MORAGA, Calif. — Anders Engebretsen has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 12-18 after his game-winning goal helped No. 4 Saint Mary's get past No. 24 Oregon State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Engebretsen's tally came in the 81st minute as Sebastian Schacht fed a pass to the forward down the left side. The junior dribbled down towards the Beavers' goal before using a quick cut to create space between his defender and fired a one-timer that curled into the top right corner. Engebretsen is second on the Gaels with nine goals this year.

Saint Mary's returns to the pitch on Sunday as they host No. 7 Stanford at Saint Mary's Stadium at 1 p.m. General admission tickets are being sold for $10, juniors, seniors, and SMC faculty/staff are $5 and student tickets are $3.
