MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's heads into the week retaining a perfect 7-0 record and looks to continue their hot streak against UC Santa Barbara and No. 13 UC Davis. The Gaels will take on the Gauchos on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Saint Mary's Stadium before traveling to Davis to take on the Aggies on Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

The Gaels are consistently putting up stellar numbers as the season slowly approaches the halfway point. Saint Mary's was rated No. 17 after today's coaches' poll and enters the week still ranked first in the NCAA in scoring offense with 3.57 goals per game. Jake Rudel and Anders Engebretsen remain atop the offensive leaderboards for the Gaels as Rudel has scored seven goals and Engebretsen has scored six, which places them tied for sixth and 10th in the nation, respectively.
Saint Mary's is coming off an intense, nail-biting match against UC Riverside last weekend. After a tough 100 minutes of soccer, Saint Mary's prevailed against the Highlanders in double overtime to win the match 4-3. Defender Filippo Zattarin came through with the game winning goal in the 102nd minute of the match to lift the Gaels over the Highlanders.
ABOUT UC SANTA BARBARA
UC Santa Barbara enters Saint Mary's Stadium with a 4-2 record, having just come off a 2-1 win against New Mexico. The Gauchos are led by Rodney Michael who has three goals on the season and the team is averaging 1.33 goals per game.
Goalie Ben Roach has posted 17 saves through five games, with a save percentage of 0.773 at this point in the season.
Saint Mary's is 4-7-1 all-time against the Gauchos. The last match between the two teams took place roughly a year ago in Santa Barbara and ended in a 0-0 tie after double overtime.

The No. 13 Aggies have a record of 5-0-2 this season and are coming off a 3-1 win against Santa Clara. UC Davis has a match against Utah Valley on Tuesday ahead of their match against Saint Mary's on Saturday. Adam Mickelson holds the top spot for goals this season with three goals and is followed by Andy Velasquez who has two.
Goalie Wallis Lapsley has a save percentage of 0.871 so far this year, after recording 27 saves over the last seven games. Lapsley has  recorded three shutouts on the season and as a team, the Aggies have only allowed five goals.
The Gaels are 4-6-4 all-time versus UC Davis with their last match in 2017 ending in a 1-1 tie. In the last four matchups versus the Aggies, the Gaels are 0-2-2.
