MTEN | Gaels To Compete at Aggie Invitational

Saint Mary's will visit nearby-UC Davis for the Aggie Invitational this weekend.
MORAGA, Calif. — The Gaels will head to Davis for their second tournament of the fall to participate in the Aggie Invitational this weekend. The three-day tournament takes place Friday to Sunday and will go all-day each day.

Participating at the tournament will be the host UC Davis, Saint Mary's, Cal, Nevada, Pacific, Portland, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, and Stanford. The Cardinal (No. 7) and Golden Bears (No. 35) finished last season ranked among the nation's top-50 teams.

Saint Mary's also competed at last year's Aggie Invitational and the team's performance was highlighted by former Gaels Matthew Campana and Calvin Jordaan's doubles finals win in the Doubles B bracket.
The Gaels also had singles wins from Jackson Hawk and Brian Lee and several doubles victories during the tourney.
LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's sent two members to compete at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic last weekend. Matis Bot and Daniel Krutik each picked up a win in the singles consolation bracket during the tournament and played one match together in doubles.
Bot defeated Can Kaya of Cal 6-2, 2-6, 11-9 while Krutik took down Christopher Casati of DePaul in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
UP NEXT: ITA REGIONALS
Following the Aggie Invite, Saint Mary's will head to Seattle for the ITA Regionals beginning on Oct. 11. The Gaels will play two more tournaments, the Saint Mary's Invite and Bulldog Classic, to wrap up their fall season following the ITA Regionals.
