GOLF | Gaels Continue Play on Day 2 of Pacific Invite

Three Gaels are tied on the leaderboard heading into the final round on Wednesday.

STOCKTON, Calif. — Saint Mary's wrapped up play on Tuesday at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational with Dylan VanderVeer shooting the day's best round for the Gaels.

VanderVeer shot a 2-over to move to 7-over overall and tied for 66th in the field. VanderVeer had three birdies on the back nine to start 1-under through nine holes.

Ethan Ashbrook is tied with VanderVeer after two rounds after shooting 3-over in the middle round. The sophomore had great success on the front nine with five total birdies including back-to-back under par scores on holes three and four. Evan Peterson, SMC's leader from yesterday, is also at 7-over heading into the final round.

The Gaels' final individual, Ronnie Hun, finished the middle round 14-over.
