After the game was halted in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Gaels will resume their contest against Idaho State tomorrow.

DAVIS, Calif. — After five and a half innings of action against Idaho State, the game was halted in the bottom of the fifth forcing the contest to resume tomorrow.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After Idaho State scored the first run of the game in the first inning, Saint Mary's put up two in the bottom of the second to take the lead over the Bengals. Dylan Linton singled to center field and immediately advanced to second on the throw which allowed Halle Sullivan to advance to third and Jayda Alaan to score the first run. Allie Bullock followed suit with an RBI single to advance Linton to third and bring Sullivan home for the second run.

Jaymee Campbell kept the momentum going for the Gaels as she flied out to right field which advanced both Bailey Lotz and Mazzie Davis to allow Kalissa Heihn to score the third run for Saint Mary's. The Gaels tallied two walks and five hits during the game.

Sofia Earle pitched 4.1 innings and had six strikeouts during the contest. Earle only allowed three runs and three walks during her time in the circle.

Idaho State put up one run in the first inning and two in the top of the fifth to tie up the score with Saint Mary's. Cassidy Fitzgerald collected three RBI's during the matchup, which is responsible for all three runs for the Bengals.
