STANFORD, Calif. — In a tough field, No. 47 Saint Mary's battled throughout the day and ended the full day's action in tied for 19th heading into tomorrow's final round of the Goodwin.
THE LEADERBOARD
Ryan Grauman and Blake Hathcoat lead the Gaels at the end of the second round as they sit tied for 35th at 4-over. Hathcoat had six pars on the day along with two birdies while Grauman also managed to collect a birdie in the front nine.
During the second round, Ethan Ashbrook shot 6-over and collected three birdies, two of which came in the front nine. To round out the Gaels, Ethan Farnam also shot 6-over and Michael Slesinski was 4-over.
The host, No. 31 Stanford, sits in first place at 2-under after shooting a round score of 279. No. 6 USC finished the day in second place at 5-over while No. 11 Cal is close behind as they are just one stroke back at 6-over.
USC's Kaito Onishi leads all players after finishing the second round at 5-under with a 66 round score. Collin Morikawa from Cal sits in second at 3-under while six other individuals are tied for third place at 2-under.
SECOND ROUND HIGHLIGHTS
- Farnam had a team-high four birdies during the second round.
- Hathcoat and Slesinski each birdied the 521 yard par 5 1st.
- Hathcoat and Grauman are just two strokes back from securing a spot in the top-25.
