

TRK | Gaels Record Numerous Personal Bests at Mike Fanelli Classic

HAYWARD, Calif. – The Gaels collected a number of personal bests over the course of the last three days at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic hosted by San Francisco State.
For the women's team, the Classic started on Thursday with Ellen Burbank who ran in the 3000 meter steeplechase and not only collected a personal best (11:50.74) but is now ranked second all time in the SMC program for the race. Then on Friday, Kaela Dishion ran a personal best of her own in the 1500 meter (4:48.02), while Neylene Leon and Allie Timbrell both ran personal second bests. On Saturday, Ava Nkadi ran a personal best and won her heat during the 800 meter race while also Burbank recorded a personal best, in her second race of the weekend.
For the men's team, Nolan Dozier was up first on Thursday and ran a 30:17.08 in the 10,000 meter race to record a personal best as well as secure third place within the Saint Mary's program for the race. During the 5000 meter race, Moses Bojorquez raced a personal best (14:37.60) and became fourth on the Gaels program list. Tommy Bell (15:18.40) and Alex Riggsby (15:23.26) both raced personal bests in the 5000 meter as well. Michael Lopez raced his own personal best in the 800 meter with a time of 2:00.12.
