MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary's women's rowing team officially begins their 2019 spring season this weekend, competing at the Sacramento State Invitational at Lake Natoma.

Saint Mary's was recently picked to finish fifth in the WCC in the Preseason Coaches' Poll ahead of Creighton and Santa Clara. The Gaels had two players land on the All-WCC Preseason team: junior

The Sac State Invitational kicks off a busy month for the rowing team as they compete in three races this month. On March 30, SMC will host their only event of the Spring when they face Santa Clara in Orinda. The next two weekends they will head to San Diego and Portland respectively before the Western Intercollegiate Championships April 27-28. The regular season will then come to a close at the West Coast Conference Championship on May 18.
