TRK | Gaels Race Strong at the Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. – The Gaels competed across three days at the Bryan Clay Invite this week and recorded a number of strong finishes.

For the women's team, freshmen Ellen Burbank and Kaela Dishion both raced in the 5000 meter with times of 19:27.00 and 18:21.15 respectively. Freshman Emma McCarthy and junior Allie Timbrell raced in the 800 meter with McCarthy recording a time of 2:20.13 and Timbrell racing a 2:28.80.

For the men's team, junior Samir Habash and sophomore Jayman Peterson ran in the 800 meter dash as Habash recorded a time of 1:57.49 and Peterson raced a 1:59.83. Juniors Nolan Dozier and Moses Bojorquez along with senior Mason Labadie were the Gaels represented in the 5000 meter run. Dozier was awarded fourth place (14:29.18) while Bojorquez was awarded sixth (14:33.17) and Labadie raced a time of 15:44.09. Alex Riggsby was the lone SMC runner in the 10K run as he snagged 18th placed with a time of 32:21.71.

Women's 5k - Ellen Burbank (Heat 7 - 26th - 19:27.00), Kaela Dishion (Heat 5 - 28th - 18:21.15)

Men's Results:

Men's 800 - Samir Habash (141st - 1:57.49), Jayman Peterson (148th - 1:59.83)
Men's 5k - Nolan Dozier (4th - 14:29.18), Moses Bojorquez (6th - 14:33.17), Mason Labadie (40th - 15:44.09)
Men's 10K - Alex Riggsby (18th - 32:21.71)
