Jamie Haas is the newest member of the Saint Mary's coaching staff after a stint at Fresno State.
MORAGA, Calif. — Gaels' head coach Simon Harston bolstered his coaching staff this week by adding former Saint Mary's standout Jamie Haas as an assistant coach. Haas had spent the previous three seasons coaching at Fresno State.
Haas, formerly Jamie Pawid, played at Saint Mary's from 2014-2016. She was named First Team All-WCC in singles play twice during her three seasons in Moraga while also receiving Second Team recognition in doubles and another singles honorable mention nod.
Haas went 35-21 in singles action during her Saint Mary's career and achieved the No. 74 ITA singles ranking heading into her junior season.
While at Fresno State, Haas helped the Bulldogs claim the school's second ever Mountain West Championship in 2018. During her first season as an assistant coach, the Bulldogs went 14-9 despite a tough non-conference schedule with four ranked opponents.
Born in Honolulu, Haas attended high school in the Bay Area at Castro Valley. She ranked as high as No. 22 as a prep according to the Tennis Recruiting Network before committing to Hawai'i. Haas played one season with the Rainbow Wahine before transferring to SMC.
