BASE | Riley Goulding Joins Baseball Coaching Staff

MORAGA, Calif. – Head baseball coach Greg Moore has announced the addition of Assistant Coach Riley Goulding to his staff for 2019.

Goulding spent the last six seasons with Cal State Northridge, four as a volunteer assistant. He also served as Director of Youth and high school camp clinics. He organized practices, weight schedules, academic and team study hall, community outreach efforts, social media posts, and team gear.

Originally from Tracy, Calif. Goulding played baseball at College of San Mateo. As a freshman in 2010, he helped the team win their ninth-consecutive conference title and they finished second in the CCCAA. He then went on to play Division I baseball at University of Texas Pan-American. There, he started 102 games over two seasons, batting .304 and led the team in batting average his senior season.

Goulding received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration in December of 2013 and two years later, received his master's in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine. Goulding has coaching ties throughout his family as he has brothers serving as assistant golf coaches at University of San Diego and the United States Air Force Academy.

"Riley Goulding is one of the finest under 30 coaches in college baseball," said Moore. "He relates well to the players and makes high-level skill training easy to understand and applicable in-game. In his time running our offense, our team and individual production was among the conference leaders. Behind the scenes Coach Goulding cares deeply about mentoring players in time management and academic success."
