Saint Mary's tees off their 2019-20 campaign in the Pacific Northwest on Monday.
BREMERTON, Wash. — The Gaels will tee off their fall schedule this week as they travel to Washington for the two-day Husky Invitational which will be played at Gold Mountain Golf Club.

THE FIELD
Saint Mary's will square off with 14 other schools during the tournament including: Boise State, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Idaho, Long Beach State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego, San Diego State, Seattle, Washington State, and the host, Washington. Saint Mary's, Gonzaga, and San Diego will be representing the West Coast Conference in the tournament.
Oregon (No. 40) currently rests as the highest ranked team in the tournament according to last season's Golfstat rankings with Nevada following close behind at No. 49. The Gaels sit just outside Golfstat's top-50 at No. 59.
THE LINEUP
Saint Mary's used the same lineup for nearly the entire season last year and four of those regulars will begin the year in the Gaels' lineup on Monday. Blake Hathcoat, Ryan Grauman, Ash Hakim, Ethan Ashbrook, and Michael Slesinski are slated to compete in the season-opener with Hakim being the new-add.
HUSKY INDIVIDUAL
A medalist tournament will be occurring during the same time as the Husky Invitational consisting on individuals from the competing teams. Dylan VanderVeer, Evan Peterson, and Ethan Farnam will be playing in the event held at nearby McCormick Woods Golf Club.
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Husky Invitational will be hosted at the Golf Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. for the first time as the Huskies won the tournament last year when it was held at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Wash. This year's tournament will be just the second year the Huskies have hosted the invitational in recent years and it will be the first time Saint Mary's is making an appearance.

The Golf Mountain Golf Club is located in the rolling terrain of the Pacific Northwest where the Olympic course has provided a long history of Championship golf.
The course is configured as a par 72 and is 7,179 yards in length. Two 18-hole rounds will be played on Monday and the third and final round will be played on Tuesday.
