LAST TIME OUT
The Gaels had a tough 1-0 loss at home against Santa Clara in their last match that dropped them a game behind the Broncos in the WCC standings
Â
The Gaels outshot the Broncos 4-3 in the first half and 2-1 in the second half, but Santa Clara would make that shot count. In the 54
th minute the Gaels couldn't clear the ball after a throw in and Javier Ruiz Duran made a play on it to feed Joshua Dabora a few yards into the penalty area. Dabora flipped the ball up with his left foot perfectly to get it over the Gaels keeper
Nicholas Lapinid.

Jacob Jackson named to the squad.
Â
Caliskan, in addition to being named the conference player of the year, was also recognized as First Team All-WCC, WCC All-Academic First Team, USC NCAA Division I Men's All-America Second Team, USC NCAA Division I Men's All-West Region First Team, MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, and Top Drawer Soccer Best XI Second Team during the 2021 spring season.Â
Â
The Gaels are 25-17-3 all time against LMU going back to 1984. The Lions won last year's meeting 3-1 on their way to locking down the WCC Championship.
