SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Saint Mary's (2-7) went down to the wire with Nevada (3-4) on Sunday at the Golden Gate Invitational in Sacramento but came up just short in a close 4-3 loss.
The Gaels picked up the doubles point with wins on Courts 2 and 3. The team's third tandem of Matis Bot and Caelan Potts had a dominating 6-0 performance to get the ball rolling and then Damon Kesaris and Fabian Roensdorf secured the point in the final doubles match with a 6-2 decision.
