SEASON PREVIEW
There were a lot of exciting changes for the Gaels rowing team this off-season, the biggest being the arrival of new head coach
Brian Ebke. Ebke joined the Gaels in July after spending three seasons as the head coach of the rowing program at the University of Central Oklahoma. He helped take the Bronchos to the NCAA DII National Championships in 2022, where they finished fifth place overall. UCO's Varsity 8+ finished fifth overall, taking the Petite Final, and their Varsity 4+ finished third in the Grand Final. This came after they finished third overall in the heavily-contested Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.
Â
Along with Ebke, eight freshmen join the team this fall as well. With a mix of youth and experience, the Gaels are primed and excited to get back on the water after a lengthy off-season.Â
Â
Saturday will mark the first time the Gaels and the Lumberjacks have met on the water.Â
