MBB | Saint Mary’s Adds Three on National Signing Day

MORAGA, Calif. — Just after the official start of the 2022-23 season, Saint Mary's Men's Basketball made moves to beef up the roster for the future. The Gaels officially inked three players on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, which was National Signing Day for student-athletes. Jensen Bradtke, Jordan Ross, and Andrew McKeever have all signed with Saint Mary's and will begin their collegiate careers next fall.

Let's take a look at some of the newest Gaels and their profiles.

JENSEN BRADTKE – Sandringham, Australia
The Gaels have had a strong pipeline from Australia since Randy Bennett took over the program, and that pipeline produces another in Jensen Bradtke. Hailing from Sandringham, one of the suburbs of Melbourne, Bradtke will become the 23rd Australian Gael when he joins the roster next year. The power forward Bradtke has been catching the eyes of recruiters for a while, playing with the Sandringham Sabres. Late last year, he joined the NBA Global Academy, which helps develop the top international high school-aged athletes. This year at the U20 Australian Championships, Bradtke averaged 11.7 points per game while grabbing 10.0 rebounds per game.

Bradtke comes from quite the athletic family, with both of his parents gaining notoriety in their respective sports. His father, Mark Bradtke, is an Australian Basketball Hall of Famer and four-time Olympian whose career spanned nearly two decades. His mother, Nicole Bradtke, was a professional tennis player who won two mixed titles at the 1992 Australian Open and the 1992 US Open. She was ranked as high as No. 24 as an individual.

JORDAN ROSS – Pleasant Grove, Utah
There is a lot to like about the game of Jordan Ross, who will stay west after signing with Saint Mary's this week. Ross is a 6-3 point guard from Pleasant Grove, Utah. Ross was heavily recruited and chose the Gaels over Oregon State, Boise State, SMU, and DePaul. He is a high IQ floor general capable of making plays for his teammates and himself. 247Sports has him ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 26 point guard in the country.

Last year, Ross played for Link Academy out of Branson, Missouri, leading them to a second-place finish at the Geico Nationals, averaging 7.8 points and 3.8 assists per game. This past summer, Ross won a Peach Jam championship for Mokan Elite in the Nike EYBL, winning the championship game 53-52 over Team Takeover. He will be finishing up his high school career this season with AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona. Jordan is the son of former Utah State standout, Ronnie Ross.

ANDREW MCKEEVER – Livermore, Calif.
Staying in the Bay Area is Andrew McKeever, a local product from Livermore. McKeever will help bolster the Gaels frontcourt, standing at 7-0. This past season, McKeever led Granada High School to a deep playoff run en route to finishing the year as a Second Team All-EBAL selection, averaging 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Ties to Granada are currently present for the Gaels, as McKeever's former high school teammate, Kevin Gad, is in his freshman season at Saint Mary's.

McKeever also starred for the highly touted AAU program Team Lillard this past summer in the Adidas Gauntlet. He was selected to represent the Bay Area at the second annual Simply Basketball Battle of NorCal All-Star game, which pits some of the best high school talent in the area against one another.
