MORAGA, Calif. – The schedule is set for Saint Mary's Men's Soccer with 18 matches and two exhibitions in the fall of 2022. The Men's Soccer program with the highest winning percentage in the state of California over the last four years is ready to build on their 11-6-1 finish of 2021 from one the youngest Gaels teams ever under Head Coach

HOME STRETCH

It's a streaky schedule for the Gaels with long stretches of home and road contests. SMC will play their first six games of the season at home, including the exhibition matches against Sonoma State and Stanislaus State on August 14 and 19 respectfully.

The Gaels will play their official home opener Thursday, August 25 at 1:00 p.m. vs Niagara College. They'll finish the season playing four of their last six games at Saint Mary's Stadium, including a visit from Stanford University on Saturday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m. SMC will be looking for their first home win over Stanford since 1994 after winning on The Farm last season for the first time since 1995.

Saint Mary's will close out the home slate with Senior Day on Saturday, November 5 at 1:00 p.m. against Loyola Marymount University.

ROAD WARRIORS

The Gaels will play eight-straight road matches from September 8 to October 11, culminating at trip to East Lansing, Mich. to take on the Michigan State Spartans. It will just the second meeting all time between the two programs, and the first since September 17 of 1999 when the Spartans got a 2-1 win in Moraga.

SMC will play three of their seven WCC matches at home, with USF, Gonzaga, and LMU on the home schedule for 2022.
