SAN FRANCISCO – Saint Mary's Golf started and finished day one at the Olympic Club Invitational but did a rough patch in between. The Gaels team and individual standings slid a bit at end of round one and the early part of round two, before ending the second round well.

Mitchell Hoey finished the day 1-under par after shooting a 141 in the first two rounds with eight birdies, which has him tied for eighth overall among 60 golfers.

Hoey and
Ryan Hartanto with both 1-over on par threes and Hoey and
Kristian Bressum were each 3-under on par fives. Newcomer
Henry Fitzhugh led the Gaels in total pars made with 24.

Saint Mary's as a team was 8-under on par fives and had 25 total birdies, but finished the day in ninth of the ten-team field.
