SB | Taylor Keinath Named Student-Assistant Coach

MORAGA, Calif. — Whether as a Gael or a Lion, the name Taylor Keinath should sound familiar to WCC Softball fans. Keinath enjoyed a four-year career at LMU, before playing her fifth and final collegiate season in Moraga for Saint Mary's. Now, Keinath will change roles from student-athlete to student coach, as Coach Sonja Garnett has added her to the coaching staff for the 2024 season to work with her hitters and outfielders.
About the addition of Coach Keinath to her staff, Coach Garnett stated:
"TK is an experienced athlete and mature leader. As an athlete, she raised the standard and impacted the culture, and I am confident she will continue to do so in this role. Our outfielders and hitters are excited to work alongside her!"
Keinath appeared in 130 contests throughout her collegiate softball career. Her final season with the Gaels proved to be her best, as she batted .283 on the year, and held a stellar .372 batting average against conference foes. For her strong effort, Keinath was named a 2023 All-WCC honorable mention selection.
Prior to her arrival in Moraga, Keinath earned her bachelor's degree in women's studies from LMU. She is currently pursuing her professional MBA while at Saint Mary's.
