BERKELEY, Calif. - Juliette Daries and TianYu Dong of Saint Mary's Women's Tennis won the Gold Flight doubles bracket on Sunday at the Call Fall Invitational, taking down the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds along the way in the finals and semifinals respectively.
Daries and Dong defeated Lan Mi and Tiziana-Marie Schomburg 8-4 in the finals. TianYu Dong went 4-0 in doubles and 2-1 in singles for the weekend. Stefanie Silva & Sofia Daryaie went 3-1 in doubles for the weekend.
"It was great seeing the team compete for the first time this year," Head Coach Katharina Winterhalter said. "We saw some good tennis, and also know what we need to work on moving forward."
Daries and Dong defeated Lan Mi and Tiziana-Marie Schomburg 8-4 in the finals. TianYu Dong went 4-0 in doubles and 2-1 in singles for the weekend. Stefanie Silva & Sofia Daryaie went 3-1 in doubles for the weekend.
