MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team hosted Santa Clara on Senior Day in its final home contest of the 2026 season on Tuesday at Timothy Korth Tennis Complex. The Gaels took a doubles match and were unfinished in three of the six singles marches but fell 4-0 to the Broncos in West Coast Conference action.
The Gaels took a doubles match with duo Sofia Daryaie and senior Tiana Fox but dropped the two and three spots 6-3 and 6-4 to fall down 1-0 in the match. Saint Mary's battled once again in singles play with three of the six matches either tied or leading after two sets but Santa Clara was able to lock up the match with wins at the two, four and six positions to improve to 3-4 in WCC play.
Daryaie bounced back in the top singles position to win the second set 6-1 with her match going unfinished while first year Gael Sydney Wilson was leading her match 7-6 4-3 at the time of the stoppage out of the five spot for Saint Mary's. Seniors Tiana Fox and Madison Weekley were both in action in what would be their final match at Timothy Korth Tennis Complex. Fox won her doubles match with Daryaie 6-3 but both Fox and Weekley would fall in singles play to conclude the afternoon.
