WTEN | Saint Mary’s Women’s Tennis Falls 4-0 to LMU in Regular Season Finale

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Saint Mary's women's tennis concluded its regular season on Saturday afternoon against LMU, falling 4-0 to the Lions.
In doubles play, the Gaels had close matches across the board. Sofia Daryaie and Tiana Fox went 6-4 as a pair, while Sophie Stanton and Sydney Wilson went 6-4 as well. Despite the pressure from Saint Mary's, LMU took the doubles point to get out to the early lead.
Elif Tuana Gunal and Daryaie both had the lead in their singles matches early on, but ultimately went unfinished as the Lions took the 4-0 victory with wins out of the two, five and six spots. Saint Mary's finished the regular season just a game back of Santa Clara for the final spot in the West Coast Conference tournament.
