LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's got another gem from Connor Linchey with his first collegiate complete game, and Christian Alamanza hit two home runs in the Gaels 6-2 win over Pacific on Friday.

In game two Saint Mary's used an offensive outburst and a solid start from Ryan Taurek to win by a score of 13-4.

The Gaels completed the sweep over the Pacific Tigers on Sunday, pulling away late for a 15-7 win after hitting a season-high four home runs.

The Tigers trimmed a six-run Gaels lead to two in the top of the eighth before SMC erupted for six runs in the bottom of the inning to put away the win.

ABOUT UC DAVIS
In the first meeting between the two teams on April 4 the Gaels clawed back one run at a time against UC Davis after falling behind early but came up short of a comeback in a 6-4 loss.

The Aggies formula for success has been the long ball, and they struck with a two-run homer in the second inning and a solo shot in the third to lead 3-0. That would not be the end of their rally in the third however, as a two-run double and an RBI groundout stretched their lead to 6-0.

The Gaels would stop the scoring there though for UCD, and slowly began to chip their way back. SMC would get a run in fourth, sixth, eighth, and ninth, but could never quite keep the line moving to produce a crooked number and complete the comeback.

ABOUT LMU
LMU left-hander Diego Barrera was been awarded West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week and Perfect Game National Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing a complete game shutout against the Gonzaga Bulldogs last Friday night.

The grad student stifled the Gonzaga lineup and struck out 10 batters with no walk.s He allowed only five hits, with the Bulldogs only getting multiple hits in the same inning one time.

For the season, Barrera is now sporting a 1.44 ERA and a 0.78 WHIP, good for fourth in the country. He is 5-0 in WCC play with a 1.41 ERA in WCC games. He leads the conference in ERA, opponent's batting average, innings pitches and is second to teammate Zach Kirby in strikeouts.
