LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's Men's Tennis couldn't keep USD from celebrating a WCC Regular Season Championship on their home court on Sunday afternoon, but still qualified for the conference tournament by virtue of Santa Clara's victory over LMU.
Â
Carlos Ramos Membrives and
James Watt got the SMC off to a good start, claiming the first doubles match 6-3. USD got the next doubles match to finish, and the point came down to battle between
Diego Jarry and
Caelan Potts against Oliver Tarvet and Stian Klaassen of the Toreros. It would go all the way to an 8-6 tie breaker as USD edged out the Gaels 7-6 to take the doubles point.
Â
It would be all Toreros from there in the singles competition, taking three matches in two sets to get the win and claim another title.
