MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team had one objective Sunday morning; win and get in. A match victory over Gonzaga would punch its ticket into the 2026 West Coast Conference Tournament as the six-seed and extend their season. Head coach Dan Cardiff and his squad would do just that, sweeping Gonzaga 4-0 to win their second WCC match of the season and send the Gaels into the postseason.

Doubles dominance continued for Thibaud Maxant and Finn Dyer as the pair won their 11th match of the season, defeating Gonzaga's top doubles team 6-2. The Etchecoin brothers followed suit with a 6-2 win of their own to clinch the doubles point for Saint Mary's.

Both Juan Pedro Etchecoin and Paulo Hugo Etchecoin won their singles matches in straight sets while Maxant took his second set on a tiebreaker to help secure the 4-0 sweep. Juan Pedro improved to 9-8 this season in singles play as Saint Mary's secured the massive two-win weekend to send them into the postseason. This is the second consecutive season Saint Mary's has qualified for the conference tournament.
