WSOC | Four Gaels Named to the 2024 All-Conference teams

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Saint Mary's Women's Soccer team had four players named to the 2024 All-Conference teams with Sydney Middaugh and Tessa Salvestrin earning Second Team honors. Savannah Schwarze and Khalia Gathright earned Honorable Mention status for their first all-conference selection of their careers.
Middaugh has been a crucial player for the Gaels offense, playing in all 18 matches this season and making 15 starts. Middaugh has scored four goals and contributed three assists. The Sophomore earned All-WCC Freshman Team Selection in 2023 as this represents her second all-conference selection of her career.
Salvestrin has been one of Saint Mary's biggest elements on the field as she leads the team playing in all 18 matches, making 16 starts, and a career high 8 goals. The Junior is in the top ten in four of the six WCC offensive categories. She is fifth in goals (8), fifth in shots on goal (27), fifth in points (19), and seventh in shots (49). She also contributed three assists this season to finish with 1010 minutes played. In 2022, Salvestrin earned a spot on the All-WCC Second Team Selection and All-WCC Freshman Team, making this her third all-conference selection of her career.
Schwarze and Gathright received Honorable Mention honors for their contribution to the Gaels team. Schwarze played and started in all 18 matches this season and also added one goal and four assists. Gathright played and started in 17 matches in the 2024 season, where she was one of the team's top defenders after transferring from Washington State. She tallied up two assists and played the full 90 minutes in nine matches.
