SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - For the first time this season, Junior Briana Salvetti has earned the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week after her two goal performance that led the Gaels to a 2-0 victory over Pacific. This is Salvetti's second time earning the award in her collegiate career as she received the award for the first time during the 2023 season. 
 
Salvetti led Saint Mary's as she scored both of their goals including the game winner in the 63rd minute. Saint Mary's sits in a tie with LMU at 14 points in the conference standings and are just three points off of the top spot with matches against Pepperdine and Santa Clara to close out the regular season. 
 
Saint Mary's earned a penalty kick, after Molly Silva found Sydney Middaugh over the top in the 35th minute. Middaugh got clipped as she entered the box to earn the penalty. Salvetti stepped up to the challenge and got past Pacific's goalkeeper to put the Gaels on the board. 
 
In the 63rd minute, Savannah Schwarze attempted a shot that forced a save from the Tiger's keeper, but Salvetti would crash in on the rebound and fire it into the back of the net for her second goal of the night. Salvetti now has three goals on the season and 14 for her Saint Mary's career.
 
The Gaels will return to Saint Mary's Stadium for their final home game of the season on Wednesday, November 6th at 3:00 PM.
