RENO, Nev. – Saint Mary's Men's Tennis won their third-straight match on Tuesday afternoon at Nevada, collecting their second-straight 4-3 win. The match made up for the March 2 match in Reno, Nev. that was postponed due to snow.
The Wolf Pack swept the doubles point and won the first singles match to finish, but SMC would turn it on from there. Carlos Ramos Membrives handled Matheo Coupu in a 6-2, 6-1 win, followed by Pierre Lieutaud defeating Greg Valente 6-3, 6-0 even up the score.
Thibaud Maxant outlasted Edgar Destouet for a 7-5, 7-5 win to put the Gaels up 3-2, but Nevada would claim the next match to finish to knot things back up at 3-3.
That put all eyes on Diego Jarry who clinched in the match 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 for his fourth win of the season. Maxant is now 7-5 on the year and Lieutaud moves up to 5-2.
