Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – The Saint Mary's Women's Tennis team came out strong in their Conference opener game, defeating the University of the Pacific 4-1 and ending their four game win streak.
 
The Gaels took the first set in the doubles as MiaAngelina Ruja and Juliette Daries defeated the Tigers Alexis Sam and Megan Carmichael. UOP took the second set defeating Iman Khan and Olivia Rook. The doubled point was between SMC duo Stefanie Silva and Sofia Daryaie and the Tigers duo Liza Mladentseva and Indiya Mcleod. Both teams put up a tough fight, but Saint Mary's came out on top with a 7-6 (7-3) win.
 
Entering the singles, Silva finished first defeating Mladentseva 6-1, 6-3. UOP cut the Gaels lead back down to one as Tigers Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle scored their only point of the match, defeating Daryaie 6-2, 6-3.
 
Rook was the next match to finish where she outlasted Mcleod 6-4, 6-1. Daries finished off the Gaels strong by giving SMC the 4-1 win as she defeated Carmichael 6-2, 7-5.
