MORAGA, Calif. — Head Coach Harlan Lopez continues to see the growth of the Saint Mary's Men's Cross Country and Track programs since taking the helm in 2022. A hefty recruiting class incoming for the 2024-25 season could make this year the best to date for the program. The team welcomes seven to join the 26 returners ahead of their first race of the year, slated for the final week of August.
About his incoming class, Coach Lopez noted:
"The 2024 SMC recruiting class is the most talented class we have ever recruited. We have a
great balance with four freshmen and four transfers which brings youth and experience. Along
with being great athletes they are all well rounded individuals which is very important for our
program. We expect some immediate impacts from some of these guys and it's going to be a lot
of fun this year."
