SPOKANE, Wash. — Saint Mary's Women's Indoor Track season came to an end with the MPSF Championships in Spokane this weekend. 14 different Gaels competed in eight different events, with numerous competing in multiple events. Here are some highlights from the two day meet:

In the 60m dash, Maddie Dwyer and Aleah Rae Castro both hit PRs, finishing 0.05 seconds apart, with Dwyer finishing at 8.13 and Castro at 8.18. That duo also sprinted in the 200m dash, and Castro completed the trio of sprints, running in the 400m race.

Jaden DeSouza and Klara Frih both placed in the top-15 in the 800m race, with DeSouza's 2:15.73 going down as a new PR. Sarah DeLaCerda paced a group of nine Gaels running in the 3000m, placing 16th with a time of 10:00.79. Kaylee Barnes, Emily Field and Elle Shrader finished second, third and fourth amongst Gaels in the 3000m, and all finished in the top-20 in the 5000m, paced by Barnes in 12th.

The lone race that the Gaels scored in was the distance medley race. Klara Frih (1200m), Maddie Dwyer (400m), Jaden DeSouza (800m), and Sarah DeLaCerda (1600m) made up the team that placed seventh, giving the Gaels two points in the meet. The final time for that group was 11:47.94.
