SOC | Saint Mary’s Rewarded for Classroom Success with 2024-25 College Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Friday, August 1st United Soccer Coaches announced the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.
A total of 697 soccer teams (283 men, 414 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year. Of that total, 151 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized. The full list of 2024-25 College Team Academic awards can be found at unitedsoccercoaches.org.
This is the first time both programs earned the team academic award since 2023. Head women's coach Theresa Romagnolo and her squad finished the 2024-25 academic year with a 3.42 GPA while Adam Cooper and the men's team recorded a combined 3.47 GPA. Both teams are set to kickoff their fall campaigns later this month with the women hosting CSUN on August 14th and the men welcoming Cal to Saint Mary's Stadium on August 21st.
