MTEN | Gaels Get Swept by Cal to Split Two-Match Weekend

MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team ended their two-match weekend with a 5-0 defeat to Bay Area rival Cal on Saturday. The Gaels fall to 5-4 on the season and will head to Southern California next week to take on UC Irvine on Saturday, Feb. 21.
Thibaud Maxant and Sam Simmonds defended their singles match in unfinished contests in the number two and five positions. Simmonds and doubles teammate Bastien Maxant also played to a tiebreaker in their doubles match but ultimately fell 7-6 (7-4) to Cal's F Lechno-Wasiutyski and Andrea Meduri.
