MTEN | Gels Claw Back with a Trio of Singles Wins but Fall 4-3 to UC Irvine

IRVINE, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team put up a valiant effort in its singles play, winning three duals from Thibaud Maxant, Paulo Hugo Etchecoin and Juan Pedro Etchecoin but fell 4-3 to a talented UC Irvine team Saturday afternoon.
Finn Dyer and Thibaud Maxant have been a solid duo in the number one doubles position for the Gaels this season but they took their fourth loss of the season, 6-4, to Irvine's Max Fardanesh/Tal Goodman. The matches were competitive all day for the Gaels but they failed to pull out the road win despite recording all three points in singles play.
