MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's women's water polo has announced Frankfort, Illinois native Teagan Murphy as the newest addition to the program.
A five-year member of the Olympic Development Program Midwest National team, Murphy earned all-state honors and first team Midwest All-Elite League recognition as a junior, as well as being named Lincoln-Way East High School's MVP and team captain. She led her team in goals as a junior and in drawn ejections as both a junior and sophomore.
Murphy was a two-time MVP for her club team, Lyons Aquatics. As a rising sophomore, Murphy was invited to train for 22 days in Greece with New Trier Aquatic while competing alongside some of Illinois' top players.
With both high-level experience and leadership, Murphy adds another talented piece to Coach Stephen Loomis' growing program.
