WTEN | Saint Mary’s Falls to Boise State in First Meeting Since 2011

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Saint Mary's and Boise State met for the first time in 15 years but the Broncos would come away victorious, sweeping the Gaels 7-0 in their first of two matches down in San Luis Obispo.
The Gaels nearly grabbed the doubles point but fell in a narrow tiebreak with Sofia Daryaie and Tiana Fox in the first match followed by another close 6-4 defeat with Madison Weekley and Elif Tiana Gunal.
Boise State closed out the match with five of their six singles victories coming in straight sets. After dropping her opening set 6-1, true freshman Sydney Wilson forced a third set with a 6-3 win in the second but ultimately fell 6-3 in the third for the seventh point for the Broncos.
