Haas joined the men's tennis staff at the beginning of 2021. Prior to joining the Gaels, he served as the assistant coach at Fresno City College where he helped coach the Rams to a second place finish in the Big 8 South Conference and saw two singles players and three doubles pairs qualify for the CCCAA Championships in Ojai, Calif.
Haas also served as a volunteer assistant for three seasons at Fresno State and worked at Copper River Country Club as the Junior Academy Director.Â
Originally from Honolulu, HI, Haas went back home to play his college tennis at The University of Hawaii at Hilo where he was awarded the Pure Vulcan Award given to the student athlete that best represented the university on and off the field of competition. He graduated with honors in addition to earning All-PacWest Conference academic honors.
Haas is married to Saint Mary's women's tennis assistant coach Jamie Haas and the couple reside in Moraga with their daughter Shado and son Legend.
