AS A JUNIOR (2025): The Gaels most valuable bullpen arm…Made 14 appearances in the circle, four starts, and 10 relief appearances…Went 1-3 with a 3.78 ERA of 37 innings pitched…Struck out 15 batters and walked 26…Fanned a career-best five in her season debut at UC Davis, a narrow 2-1 defeat…Worked an eight straight scoreless inning stretch over four games against Nevada, Fresno State, Harvard and Weber State (Mar. 8 - 16), picking up her lone win of the season against Weber State.Â
AS A SOPHOMORE (2024): Made two starts and 10 appearances out of the bullpen in her second season in Moraga...Went 2-1 with a 5.32 ERA over 25 innings worked...Struck out eight and walked 13...Picked up the start and the win in her season debut against San Jose State on 2/10, fanning a career-best three...Second win came against North Dakota State on 3/16, tossing three frames of relief without surrendering an earned run...Best pitching performance of the season saw her toss 3.2 innings of scoreless relief on 3/21 against Idaho State...Also had scoreless relief appearances against Utah Valley (2/16) and San Diego (5/4).
AS A FRESHMAN (2023): Appeared in eight games in the circle during her first collegiate season, going 2-3 with a 5.46 earned run average...tossed 16.2 innings before injury effectively shut her down for the remainder of the year (made just one appearance after March 4)...made her collegiate debut in a start at Hawaii on February 10...her best outing of the year came in her final start on March 4, where she tossed a complete game in a 2-1 win over Siena...in that game, she allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out two, inducing 12 ground ball outs...also picked up the win in her final appearance of the year at Pacific on April 29.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Graduate of Freshwater Senior Campus...beginning in 2016, Bennett was named to the New South Wales State Team, and has earned this honor in every season since (seven-consecutive seasons)...she has seen time in the circle on those state teams that were finalists in 2019 and state champions during the 2018 season...at the national level, Bennett has twice finished as the runner up at the Australian Championships (2019 and 2020)...first international Gael signed by coach Garnett.
