Waitarere Beach, New Zealand native Courtney Fitzgibbon is in her freshman year with Saint Mary’s. At her second collegiate race, Fitzgibbon clocked her personal best time of 21:35.8 in the 6k, finishing second for the Gaels. After making the squad competing at both the 2025 WCC Cross Country Championships and NCAA West Regionals, the freshman impressively started the scoring for Saint Mary’s and led the way for the Gaels across the finish line. During high school Fitzgibbon was the 2024 Region Champion Female Student Athlete of the Year and represented New Zealand at the World ISF Secondary School Cross Country Champs in Kenya, Africa. Fitzgibbon is studying Kinesiology.
