Piper Westrom joined Saint Mary's as the Director of Social Media in August of 2023 after spending the previous year working in football with both the NFL Player's Association and The 33rd Team. Westrom is in charge of all social media content for Saint Mary's Athletics, including but not limited to: content creation, scheduling, social media videos, graphics, and brand guidelines.
After graduating from Saint Mary's in the spring of 2020 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in English, Westrom chose to continue her studies at the University of San Francisco, eventually earning a Masters in Sport Management in May 2022. During her time in graduate school, Westrom interned and worked for a number of organizations including Wasserman Media Group, University of San Francisco, and NFLPA.
Westrom got her start in collegiate athletics as an undergraduate at Saint Mary's, where she worked for Gael Athletics as a Assistant Sports Information Director in the External department. She held numerous roles during her two years as an undergrad including lead statistician for multiple sports, writing game recaps, managing social media accounts, updating website information, and more.
Born and raised just outside Seattle, Westrom moved to the Bay Area in 2016 to attend Saint Mary's for undergrad. She currently resides in the East Bay.
