Allyson Fasnacht enters her 12th year with Saint Mary's women's basketball in 2022-23 and her fourth as Associate Head Coach after spending eight as an assistant. She was hired in June of 2011.
Her duties include scheduling, domestic and international recruiting, player development, opponent scouting, game and practice preparations, elite and summer team camps, as well as external relations. Under her guidance, Saint Mary's has collected 33 individual All-West Coast Conference honors while winning 20-plus games and reaching the postseason in each of her first eight seasons. Proving her ability to develop talent, she has guided seven different players to All-WCC Freshmen Team Honors while 18 individuals have been named to All-WCC teams. Fasnacht has also helped lead SMC to a 193-140 (.580 winning percentage) record during her time with the program.
Fasnacht came to SMC from Nevada where she was a Graduate Assistant Coach for two seasons. At Nevada, Fasnacht's primary duties included film exchange, maintenance and management of the women's' basketball blog, video breakdown, and connection and communication with alumni.
Fasnacht spent the 2008-09 season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Furman in Greenville, S.C., While coaching the Paladins, Fasnacht coordinated the summer camps, assisted with on-court player development, prepared opponent scouting reports, assisted with film exchange and wrote the monthly newsletters.
Fasnacht played collegiately at Liberty University from 2004-08. During her career, she helped the Flames to three Big South Tournament Championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2005.
A native of Salem, Va., she graduated from Liberty University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in sports management. She earned a master's degree in educational leadership at Nevada.
